Hi, I'm Kathy Smith an artist from Binghamton. Thanks for visiting my webpage.

Kathy has studied art at the college level but says she learned more from the decorative art field and is self-taught. Attending many conventions and hundreds of workshops. The most important thing she learned from the Decorative field was how to teach. She has been a successful art instructor for over 30 years. She teaches in many mediums, including oil, watercolor, pastel, and drawing mediums. Her subjects vary from portraits( people and animals) , still life and landscapes. She is most recognized for her old Master Techniques, especially in portraits. She has taught "painting Like The Old Masters" for 15 years at SUNY Broome Community College. Her studio , Studio 6, is in Binghamton, Ny where she teaches weekly and holds workshops. She has also travel taught and has Gallery Shows on the East Coast of the United States. She has aslo travel taught in Canada, France and Russia. Kathy is a prolific artist with collectors in the United States, France, Canada, Russia and Germany.                         Kathy is an award-winning artist. She loves to paint and has said "Painting is a need for me, I need to paint."
